Yabusame in 2026: Autumn dates for Kamakura, Nikko and Meiji Jingu
This guide lists only Yabusame and offering dates that can be checked on official annual-event pages. Tsurugaoka Hachimangu, Nikko Toshogu and Meiji Jingu are different organizers with different rituals, so a recurring date is not presented as a complete 2026 event notice.
Annual dates confirmed for checking in 2026
Tsurugaoka Hachimangu’s official festival page lists the Yabusame ceremony on September 16, the final day of its Reitaisai. Nikko Toshogu’s official annual-events page lists Yabusame on October 16 during its autumn grand festival. Meiji Jingu’s official events page lists the November 3 Reitaisai and notes Yabusame as an autumn offering. These are dates shown by annual-event pages, not proof that every 2026 operational detail has been published.
Prices, reservations and on-site rules
As of August 11, 2026, those official pages do not publish a shared ticket price, reservation method, cancellation policy or complete 2026 timetable for all three events. For any missing item, the correct status is “not yet announced by the official organizer”. This guide does not turn past approximate times or unofficial itineraries into confirmed facts.
Check the official notice before travelling
Confirm the organizer and venue on each shrine’s own notice: Tsurugaoka Hachimangu, Nikko Toshogu and Meiji Jingu are not one organization. Dates from Mishima Taisha, Samukawa Shrine or Kamigamo Shrine are not listed here as confirmed 2026 events without a current first-party notice. Weather and shrine decisions can also change the offering format.
